There is number of facial procedures such as Facelift (rhytidectomy), Cheek Augmentation (Cheek Enhancement), Buccal Fat Removal (Cheek Reduction), Facial Implants (Facial Balancing and Enhancing) and Ear Surgery (Otoplasty).
- Facelift is procedure to lift and pull back the skin to make the face smoother and tighter to reduce the sagging skin around the lower half of the face.
- Buccal Fat Removal – is removing buccal fat pad naturally occurring fat in the cheek hollows area to reduce the appearance of full or chubby face.
- Cheek augmentation is procedure to add volume to the cheeks. This could be done either using implant or fat grafting/transfer (where a patient's own fat is used).
- Ear surgery (otoplasty) is reshaping of the ears to create more natural shape while bringing balance and proportion to the face structure.
Recovery
It might take up to 4 weeks for recovery from face procedures. Your surgeon might advise the necessity of wearing post-operative facial compression garment or Ear band. To help with blood circulation to reduce any swelling and thus minimising the potential risks. Your surgeon might recommend wearing facial compression garments for at least 3 months after the procedure.
